I can't beleive it! I cannot beleive it! I have made it through my first week and 1/3rd of the program.... I can't wait to see how much weight I lost....uhhh... I mean, ..... I can't wait to be healthier! Us women always do that, don't we? We start excerising to "be healthier" but really, in the back of our minds there will always be that secret agenda to lose weight. You know what else is funny to me? We set-out to do something that we never thought we would ever do (like running in my case) then we ask God to help us, then He does, and then we're totally shocked! Well, this is the end of being shocked for me. Expect good things from God!
My rest day was wonderful, I feel relaxed, I got some housework done, and my leg muscles don't feel ripped apart anymore. I am ready for another day of running! Yesterday would have been much more enjoyable, however, if I hadn't spent the entire day worrying about how difficult today's run would be.
Last night, Nathan and I went to Wal-mart with my birthday money to pick out one of those water bottle belts for Kaytlyn and I. On our last run together, we were so incredibly thirsty that I was seriously thinking about drinking from the creek, which was actually a ditch with water and manure run-off in it. Luckily, we made it through, and I didn't have to put myself through that degrating experience; however, I'm sure it would have added more entertainment value to my blog if I had.
So, I'm starting to look like one of those perfect runners. I'm not quite as skinnny as them, but I must confess, I have the coordinating running pants, sweater, shoes, water-bottle-belt, pedometer thing, and even a Lulu lemon headband (I only pain 25 cents for mine though). Although, my ponytail will never look as perfect as theirs, and I still sweat like a pig in heat. Do pigs go in heat? I think my runs are much more peaceful and scenic than theirs though. They may have the river, but I have feilds of cows, forests, wild animals, crisp pollution-free air, hardly any traffic, and I can run any time of day, even after dark, and it's still perfectly safe. I love the country and my small town.
